Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 15, 2026
1. Introduction
Reductinn ("we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application and related website content focused on tinnitus self-management. This Privacy Policy explains what information the current app and website process, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
2. The App Does Not Require Email or Password Accounts
The current version of the Reductinn app does not ask you to create a named account with an email address or password. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy before rolling out the change.
3. Information We Process
- Anonymous app identifier: When the app starts, it may create an anonymous backend identifier so it can store and retrieve your progress. This identifier is not your name or email address.
- Course and assessment data: We may store lesson progress, completion state, and tinnitus assessment scores such as THI results so the app can show your history and progress over time.
- Purchase and entitlement data: If you unlock paid content, we may receive transaction or entitlement status information from Apple, Google, and our purchase infrastructure providers so the app can determine whether premium content should be available.
- Diagnostics and usage signals: We use service providers such as Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to receive crash reports, error diagnostics, and limited app-usage events that help us improve reliability and understand how the app is being used.
- Device-stored preferences: The app stores certain settings locally on your device, such as theme preference, first-run state, review prompt state, and downloaded audio files needed for offline playback.
- Direct communications: If you email us directly, we will receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address and the contents of your request.
4. How We Use Information
- To operate the app and restore your progress across sessions.
- To display assessment history and progress trends.
- To unlock and restore paid entitlements.
- To troubleshoot crashes, bugs, and performance issues.
- To understand general product usage and improve the app.
- To respond when you contact us for support.
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only with service providers or in the situations below:
- Infrastructure providers: Services such as Firebase may process anonymous identifiers, progress records, assessment data, crash diagnostics, and analytics signals on our behalf.
- Purchase providers: Apple, Google, and purchase-management providers such as RevenueCat may process transaction and entitlement data so in-app purchases can function correctly.
- Legal or business events: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. Retention and Deletion
- On-device data: Local settings and downloaded files remain on your device until you delete the app, clear app storage, or remove the files yourself.
- Cloud-backed records: Anonymous progress, assessment, and entitlement records may remain in our service-provider systems for as long as needed to operate the app, maintain security, comply with law, or resolve disputes.
- Deletion requests: Because the app currently uses anonymous identifiers instead of named accounts, we may need additional details to locate a backend record tied to a support request. You can contact us at contact@reductinn.com and we will review any deletion request we can reasonably verify.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect the information processed by the app and website. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
Reductinn is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information in connection with the app or website, please contact us and we will investigate.
9. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions where they operate. By using Reductinn, you understand that information may be processed outside your home jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last Updated" date above.
